I have been a teaching principal in a small rural school for the last 3 years. With beginning readers in mind, these initial sounds alphabet cards are perfect for young children learning their first words. For each letter there are 10 sorting pictures to go with it, except for x and z which understandably has less. They are ready to print. All that is required is to then laminate them for extra strength. Personally I use card stock for even more durability. I have played this game with my own class at the start of last year and they loved it. This Bingo game is also useful all year round when your are needing to reinforce positive classroom relationships. In particular perfect for those hard to reach classes all year round. The games can run on computers, whiteboards or projectors. All that is required is that you print, cut and laminate the Boards and press start on the PowerPoint Show. There are 30 different Boards for your students to choose from and with the shuffling ability of the game, every game is different so that your students do not get bored of it. This game is self timed with a 10 second interval between the questions giving the students enough time to mark off or put a counter on their Board. Enjoy.

This means that they must take their time rather than rushing, in order to have greater success. Progress can be observed as your students bump into the black lines less and less as they gain greater control of their writing utensils. Students use fine motor control in order to produce correct letter formation and legible handwriting. Mazes are great for problem solving: Mazes help your students to work on their executive functioning skills, such as planning and brainstorming various strategies (e.g. starting from the beginning of the maze or working backwards from the end of maze). Included in this pack are templates for your students to extend themselves by creating and sharing their own mazes with each other. This is one of my classes favorite things to do.
